Community Guidelines

Version 1.1 · Effective 12 September 2026

Fleekart works because neighbours trust each other enough to meet and hand something over. These guidelines are what that trust rests on. They form part of the Terms of Use.

1. Be honest about what you list

When a listing goes live. Most listings go live within a minute of posting, after an automatic check. If the check flags something, a person looks at it — usually within one working day — and the listing is hidden until they do. My Listings shows where it stands ("Being checked", then Live or removed), and you can appeal from the listing.

2. What you cannot list

These are refused at publication, and listing them repeatedly gets an account suspended:

The list will grow as we learn. When we add to it, new listings are checked against the new list straight away, and existing listings that are affected are reviewed by a person rather than deleted silently. If your listing is blocked and you think that is wrong, use "Contact support" from the listing to appeal.

3. Treat people well

5. Meet safely

You are meeting a stranger. Most transactions are ordinary and pleasant. The habits below are for the few that are not.

For sellers: you control the pickup point. You do not have to give your home address — a nearby public spot is fine, and it is what we recommend.

Sending a courier instead of coming yourself. A Beneficiary (the person receiving the item) may send a courier or delivery service (Dunzo, Porter, Swiggy Genie or similar) to collect it, if the Donor (the person giving it) agrees to hand over to one. It is entirely at the Beneficiary's own risk. The pickup code is the confirmation of handover, so share it with the courier only when the item is in the courier's hands. Once the Donor enters the code, the handover is complete: the Donor's part is done, the Plinks are released, and inspection, loss, damage and the courier's conduct are the Beneficiary's responsibility, not the Donor's and not Fleekart's. Fleekart is not party to the courier arrangement and cannot help recover an item from one.

6. Show up

When you agree a time, keep it, or cancel in the app as early as you can. If one of you does not turn up, the other reports the no-show from the transaction in the app. The absent person has 12 hours to contest it; only an uncontested claim is charged. A confirmed no-show releases the held Plinks and costs the person who did not turn up a penalty of 50 Plinks or half the agreed Plinks, whichever is lower. It applies to whoever did not show — Donor or Beneficiary alike — and it is charged in Plinks. If your balance cannot cover it, the shortfall is recorded against your account (your balance never goes below zero) and stays on your record. Repeated no-shows or cancellations lead to suspension. Sellers may re-offer the item to another requester after a no-show.

7. Stories and ratings

8. Reporting and blocking

9. What happens when rules are broken

A person reviews every report. Depending on what happened, we may:

Automatic interim measures. An urgent safety report, or a third report against the same account, automatically hides that person's listings and stops them opening new transactions until a moderator has looked. Transactions already in progress are not affected. This is a pause, not a verdict.

How quickly we act. Every report and appeal is acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. An urgent safety report triggers the interim measures above straight away, before a person has reviewed it.

If you think a decision about you was wrong, appeal through Profile → Help & Support. We will tell you the outcome.
